Completed Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and STILL playing...

The open world action-rpg, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor has been entertaining me for the past two weeks. To be honest, prior to it’s release, I was skeptical about Shadow of Mordor because previous video games based in the The Lord of the Rings universe weren’t great. I watched the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy, and two-thirds of The Hobbit trilogy as well, so I was crossing my fingers, hoping for the best for this game. I didn’t have this game on radar, so it was an absolute shocker when I was saw nothing but positive reviews on September 30th.
The combat system in this game reminds me of Batman: Arkham Asylum, which is a great thing. Along with that, the climbing mechanics and exploration are similar to the Assassin's Creed titles. Now, what makes Shadow of Mordor stands out, is it's well developed “Nemesis System”. If the player is defeated by an enemy, that same enemy will climb up in the ranks in his army, which will make him become more powerful. The more powerful that enemy gets, he will eventually becoming a war chief. This game make you feel bad for getting defeated by your enemies.

I completed the game already, clocked in over 25 hours of playing, and I’m still playing it at the moment (tons of side missions to do).  I highly recommended this game to anyone who owns a PS4, Xbox One, or a gaming PC. From what I’ve read, the PS3 and Xbox 360 version of this game will not have the “Nemesis System”. This is unfortunate because, this AI system makes the game 20 times better.

Daniel Straus is back in title contention!

Former Bellator Featherweight Champion, Daniel Straus was a man on a mission last week in Bellator 127 after delivering a devastating knockout to season nine tournament finalist, Justin Wilcox. This main event bout lasted for only 50 seconds, and with a impressive win, Straus is back in title contention.

Daniel Straus capitalized Wilcox after he charged in, attempting to throw a right punch. Straus stepped back away from Wilcox, and then threw a monstrous left punch that dropped Wilcox. He followed up with a series of punches ending the fight.

After his knockout win, Straus is now 9-2 in the Bellator cage. Prior to this fight, he had two great back and forth champion bouts against former Bellator Featherweight Champion, Pat Curran, who recently lost his title to PatrĂcio Freire last month. Things are interesting now, after his win over Wilcox, will Daniel Straus get a rematch with Pat Curran, or will he get a chance to recapture the gold with going against PatrĂcio Freire?

During Bellator 127, which took place at the Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, California live on Spike TV, Bellator posted my tweet in regards to Daniel Straus' win. I tweeted, "@DanielStraus striking is on another level! Working his way back to a title shot #nextchamp #Bellator127". The image is found above. Can't wait to see Dainel Straus back in action!
